Obituary for Stanley Steven Lukaszewski

Stanley Steven Lukaszewski
STANLEY S. LUKASZEWSKI , age 92, of Jefferson passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at
Fairhaven Nursing home in Whitewater. Stan was born in Chicago IL, to Stanley and Anna (Oleska)
Lukaszewski. He married Betty Ann Jones on June 23, 1951 at St. Donatus Catholic Church in Blue
Island, IL. Betty preceded him in death on November 22, 2004.
Stanley served in the United States Army Engineer Corp from 1944-1946. He entered the military at
the age of 19, and he was privileged to make the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with his daughter
Patricia Tully on October 2, 2011. Stanley worked as a Lithographer for newspapers and magazines
for many years, retiring in 1982. While retired he remained active in numerous charities in and
around Blue Island. Stan has been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and actively
participated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitewater.
Stan is survived by Daughter Patricia (Toby) Tully of Jefferson, Sons Stanley (Barbara) Lukaszewski
of Mokena IL, and Steven (Sheila) Lukaszewski of Lombard, IL. He is also survived by 9
grandchildren, Toby Tully Jr., Kyle Tully, Lukas (Stacy) Tully, Shay Tully, Ashley Lukaszewski,
Allison Lukaszewski, Steven (Lizzie) Lukaszewski, Claire Lukaszewski, Kate Lukaszewski, and 7
great grandchildren, Brandon, Owen, Tavian, Grady, Rory, and Duncan Tully, and Austin Rose
Boerema, and one great grandchild on the way. Stanley is also survived by a sister, Eleanor
Gulzynski of IL. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Norbert, Chester, and
Richard Lukaszewski.
Some of Stan’s greatest joy and happiness came from watching his grandchildren grow from babies
to young adults. He was always engaged in their activities and lives, as he was their biggest fan.
He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Visitation will be at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 333 E. Church Street, Jefferson, WI, on Saturday
January 13, from 10:00AM until the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held at 12:00 noon.
Rev. Thomas Coyle will preside. Burial with Military Honors will follow mass, at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Stanley, to Wounded Warriors, Tomorrow’s
Hope or St. Francis of Assisi Church in Jefferson.
