Non-Licensed Staff

Although Ron is not a licensed funeral director, he is a member of the staff and is vitally important toward the operation of our firm. He makes it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

Ron Michaelis is a native of the Jefferson area. He graduated form Jefferson High School in 1966, served in the United States Army from 1968-1971. He then attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Ron received his B.A. degree in Management Communications from Concordia University. Ron was employed at APV Crepaco in Lake Mills, Wisconsin for 43 years, until the plant closed in December of 2008 finishing his career as a manufacturing engineer.
Ron plans to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College, to obtain his Mortuary Science Degree.

Ron and Marla are members of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of the Jefferson Rotary Club, and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Jefferson Council of the Performing Arts. Ron also volunteers his time for other Jefferson Civic organizations.

Sierra Mello-Coupland is an Alaskan Native and graduated from Soldotna High School in Alaska, class of 2001. She served in the United States Army 2001-2005, stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany and served 16 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq 2003-2004. Sierra completed her Bachelors in Business Management and her Masters in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. She is currently attending Madison Area Technical College and will transfer to Milwaukee Area Technical College for Funeral Services Program. Sierra has two daughters, Serenity, 3 years and Raina, 17 months.
